The Ultimate workwear wardrobe part 2 – pants

With an organised wardrobe only filled with clothes you are actually going to wear, you can now start to see the holes in your wardrobe and the areas you need to invest in. In my time working in the PR world I have tried a lot of different ‘styles’ – corporate professional, casual professional, sexy professional and I am now transitioning into a more effortless yet chic professional. I’m trying to dial down the trends and focus on the key basics every working gal needs.

My first work wear basic is a pair of tailored pants. Cropped or full length, pants are the definition of effortless and can transform your look depending on what you pair back with them.

Everyone working gal needs a good pair of tailored pants – I have three!

For a sleek look, pair a cropped pant with black or nude pumps and a blazer. I love this look and think it is the ultimate power outfit.

A black tailored pant with a white shirt is a classic look and instantly becomes cooler with a simple strap heel. A rough tuck of your white shirt is essential for the effortless vibe. Kaity from Modern Legacy has nailed this day to night look. fashion blogger, street style, modern legacy

For a fashion forward take on the tailored pant, try a peplum top and belt. It will give you a beautiful silhouette and gives it a bit of an edge.

For an effortless Friday look, pair a cropped pant with a slouchy sweater and flats. This screams ‘cool’ and is so easy and comfortable.
